Cleaning your silicone devices.

lye soap / bar soap

You can clean your silicone device's or parts with pretty much any soap you can use on your body.

Best option = Cheap bar soap

Bar / lye soap is made with animal fats and /or plant oils, water, and lye (sodium hydroxide).

cheap bar soap is typically just the basic soap ingredients no moisturizers or anything else to be left behind in the skin or on the silicone.

Dish soap = Not very good

Dish soap will do a good job cleaning but it's designed to try and not dry out your hands. dish soap leaves something behind try washing eyeglasses and get them streak free. or wash something your going to spray paint you'll get what's called fisheye. now this might not be true for all dish soaps maybe like the cheap bar soap they skip whatever they're adding to not dry out your skin.

Rubbing alcohol ~ Good for killing bacteria

I feel that its to drying for using regularly on your skin. i've tried it on silicone it doesn't seem to work as good as bar soap. i tested if it would affect the silicone badly. i soaked a piece of silicone in it for a week it didn't seem to be any different after that week.

Petroleum based cleaners or solvents

!!!They will destroy the silicone!!!

UV light / Direct sunlight

Using uv to sterilize it will degrade the silicone as it is not uv stable. it will turn a nasty yellow brown and crack!!!
